Music scheduler
Besides using your own Internet streams you can also use our Music Scheduler. Upload your songs, time based announcements and advertisements to the Solutions Radio central database. You will receive an FTP account to upload to our server. Alternatively, you can also send us CD/DVDs. You can classify the songs and ads into different categories.
Via our web based scheduler you can create different shows or formats. Per show you are able to define the percentage of songs from the different categories. For example: Show ABC consists of 10% classic, 25% soft ballads and 65% Pop. Per category you can also specify the number of hours that a song has to be banned from the playlist to avoid hearing a song too often. The schedule algorithm will randomly pick a song from a specific category and check if it is allowed to play the song according to the specified hold time of a song (i.e.number of hours a song cannot be re-played).
Your ads can be scheduled in the same way. You can define a specific category with different ads and schedule this category together with the other categories that you would like to use. Another option is that you define how often you would like to hear a commercial (category) per hour. The scheduler will automatically program the ads / commercials into the stream. You can assign one or more In-Store-Webboxes to a specific stream.
Every Webbox receives its unique stream. The characteristics of the streams are identical (as defined in the format) but the list of tracks will be different. The playlist for a specific In-Store-Webbox is created instantly when it is switched on. This makes the Audio Scheduler a perfect application for a shopping mall. Every shop has it own playlist, but all conform to a predefined format and so you do not hear the same song in all the shops at the same time. This method of programming ensures that the In-Store-Webbox will always start at the beginning of a song when it is switched on.
